To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter to personally recommend G.L. Barron Construction Services to you. G.L. Barron served as the builder for our 24,000 square foot Fellowship and Education Center which included Preschool, Children's and Youth meeting areas and classrooms as well as a Fellowship Hall and commercial kitchen.

Our building circumstances were different than any other church or business. Just one month away from our building being complete, a fire sprinkler malfunctioned on the second floor and completely flooded our building for over sixteen hours. Due to environmental issues the building had to be stripped inside and out and back to the steel structure. This was a disaster which could happen on any building site. The difference for us was that we had a builder who prided themselves on character and integrity. Our building was re-built in a timely and efficient manner and the whole time I knew G.L. Barron was watching our for the church's best interest.

G.L. Barron provided us with the best possible service a church or business could ask for in all aspects of the building process, including in times of tragedy. I have recommended G.L. Barron with great confidence to numerous colleagues and friends and continue to do so. It was a pleasure to work the entire staff of G.L. Barron and I now consider each of them friends. I hope you will choose G.L. Barron for your next building project and experience the excellence in building that our church did.

Sincerely,

Craig. A. Beall
Minister of Education and Administration

To Whom It May Concern:

I have been in local church ministry going on 30 years. I have served in 8 different churches in 8 different cities. In each church, among many other duties as initially hired, I have been responsible for remodeling and new construction projects. These projects have ranged anywhere from $70,000 to $6,000,000.

Here at First Baptist Church Aledo, Texas we have just finished a $2,500,000 new Worship Center. I must say unequivocally that this venture with G.L. Barron Company as our contractor has been, by far, the best experience ever. The Barron team not only went the second mile with us, but they went the third and the fourth mile as well.

G.L. Barron has an understanding of all churches, their ministry and their people. They can lead your entire Building Committee/Group or your congregation in a loving, growing and enjoyable experience.

I can't recommend G.L. Barron enough. If ever I can be an influence with anyone, building anything, I will excitedly lift this company in highest regards. I have firsthand knowledge of their quality work and performance for you.

Thanks for a job well done!

To Whom It May Concern:

G.L. Barron Company just completed building our new 800-seat sanctuary. We would definitely allow them to build for us again. We enjoyed a healthy building relationship throughout the entire project. If you are in the process of considering a new project at your church it would be in your best interest to give Barron an opportunity to help you accomplish your goal.

Sincerely,

To Whom It May Concern:

It is without reservation that we recommend G.L. Barron to anyone who may consider them for a building project. The staff, at the management and field levels, was very helpful and professional. At no time did we have a conflict and each time we met with them, they provided the assistance and/or information we needed. It was a delight to work with this company.

Although we were pleased with the entire staff, we were especially pleased with Mr. John Palmer, the construction superintendent. John always had a pleasant attitude and was always available for us. Even after the project was completed, he made himself available to answer questions and assist us where needed.

Sincerely,

Dr. David Isbell
Exec. Vice President

To Whom It May Concern:

The Lighthouse For The Blind of Fort Worth recently completed its third construction project in a 3-year period. This is significant in that our organization is expanding and requiring more space. In each of the projects the builder chosen was G.L. Barron Construction Company. The reasons for this choice was we have found the company to be a competitive well run organization, staffed by excellent personnel who deliver the needed building within budget and on time.

Our most recent project was a small renovation that involved building a 5700 square foot retail store in an existing warehouse. This project was much smaller than the other projects. Barron's approach was the same in all of our work. They provided the experience and expertise needed to complete the job to our satisfaction.

I would recommend G.L. Barron Construction Company for your construction project. I would be pleased to talk to you and show you our buildings. Please call me at 817.332.3341 at any time.

Sincerely,

Robert W. Mosteller

RE: G.L. Barron Construction Company

In today's economy it seems to be a rarity to receive your money's worth in anything that you might invest in but our church felt it received more than its money's worth from G.L. Barron Company.

Our particular church opted for a turnkey project and it proved to be the right choice with this company. Their scheduling, quality of materials and workmanship, and promise to keep us informed of the project's progress along the way held true to the very end.

Not only have we been happy with the facility G.L. Barron Company built for us but also we have seen how a quality product impresses all who use or view it. The highest recommendation I can give this company is that we fully intend to use them for our next two additions in completing our master plan.

Sincerely,

Temple Ike Cowell
Pastor

During the past four years we have had the opportunity to work with G.L. Barron Construction on 11 projects of various sizes and scope in the D/FW area.

They were instrumental in bringing these projects in within budget while maintaining a high quality standard as well as completing the projects within the construction time schedule.

Their responsiveness to the owner's (and our) requests proved to be very beneficial to everyone involved and in meeting the CHS standards.

In conclusion, we can, without reservation, recommend G.L. Barron Construction as a professional building construction team.

G.L. Barron Gives Struggling Church A New Identity

Thomas Avenue Baptist Church overcomes changing demographics, nature’s wrath to become Monument Baptist Church

FORT WORTH, Texas – (April 2006) – As he watched the demographics of the neighborhood around Thomas Avenue Baptist Church change and attendance drop, pastor Mike McMahon new it was time for dramatic change. In fact, McMahon decided that what his church in the Houston suburb of Pasadena needed was a new location and a new identity.

To accomplish this extreme makeover, McMahon turned to G.L. Barron. Based in Fort Worth, G.L. Barron is one of the state’s leading design/build commercial architectural and construction firm and has specialized in church, office, and retail design and construction since 1988.

The first decision was where to locate the church. A newly developed area of Deer Park, another Houston suburb, presented the ideal location.

“Deer Park is a new area with few churches nearby,” said Pastor Mike McMahon.  “This was an area that we felt we could minister to.”

Next, they needed a name. A local landmark provided that inspiration.

“If you stand in the parking lot, you can see the San Jacinto Monument which represents Texas’ independence,” McMahon explains. “So we used a play on words for the new church name, Monument Baptist.  The monument represents our physical freedom, and at church you find your spiritual freedom.”

That would not be the last of the challenges facing McMahon and his church.

Just as framing of the structure was complete, a Texas tornado ripped through the area, irreparably damaging the structure. G.L Barron was forced to tear down what was left of the building and start over.

In Sept. 2005, McMahon’s vision of a new start for his church was complete. The impressive 15,000-square-foot facility opened to rave reviews and within weeks Monument Baptist was enjoying record attendance. In fact, the church has been so successful that the pastor has added a second worship service to accommodate the crowd.

“I haven’t preached two services in years,” said McMahon.

Looking back, the pastor says he made the perfect choice in selecting G.L. Barron to help turn his vision of a new beginning into reality.

“I would recommend G.L. Barron to anyone,” says McMahon.  “From the start you could tell that their primary concern was to understand our personality and match it with our needs. Their work has given us a facility that has generated a new enthusiasm and reinvigorated the staff.  It’s helped us realize that we always need to think about the future of our church.”
