Bill has over 30 years of experience in residential and commercial construction. In addition to his commercial experience, he has also been involved in lock and dam construction, and high rise office and hotel construction. He currently serves as the president and a second generation owner of Derrick Companies; a position that he has held since 1990 and with his partners has helped shaped the company into a leading construction and development company in western Wisconsin and the metro area of the Twin Cities. His firm has a “do what it takes” attitude towards providing a construction experience that is beyond the customer’s expectations. Together with a team of employees and consultants the firm provides a full range of construction and real estate services including design, development, finance, and construction services. Since 1990 they have focused on the church construction market as well as other commercial and industrial markets. Bill enjoys public speaking especially in the area of leadership and team building and has been a guest speaker for several groups including Associated Builders and Contractors. Bill’s education background includes 6 years at Crosier Seminary in Onamia, Mn and has an engineering and MBA degree from the University of Minnesota. In addition to being a board member, Bill recently received Certified Church Consultant designation from the National Association of Church Design Builders and has a passion for how his firm can better serve the construction needs of churches. He is a devoted husband and proud father of four and resides in Woodbury, MN.
