Manage audio, video, and theatrical lighting projects from the first contact with the client, through construction, or renovation of the building, through installation and training. This includes initially helping clients define their needs and budget, then designing the system with performance that meets expectations. Ordering and tracking equipment, working with other trades such as the Electrical Contractor and General Contractor throughout the construction process and making sure the CSD spec is followed for a smooth delivery of the system. Managing job-site Tech teams to deliver the system in an accurate and timely manner.
Accomplishments (Job Related):
Dave Cannaday worked as a Technical Director in a large scale church for 23 years before joining the CSD Team. Part of his background included designing, installing, operating and training volunteers in sound, lighting, video and special effects. Dave has led the church industry in using today’s cutting edge technology to its full potential for the King’s work. Dave is one of the leaders in intelligent lighting and special effects in large-scale, theatrical church productions. He also has a background in television, via the church he worked for which built and owned a full power TV station and remote production truck. One of Dave’s gifts is the ability to train the volunteer by being able to simplify systems and operations down to a level which can be understood by even inexperienced personnel. |
