Working exclusively for design/build firms since 1992, Mr. Harkins holds national certification through the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), and maintains active architectural licenses in ten (10) states, including Texas & California. Mr. Harkins is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Society of Architectural Historians (SAH), the Interfaith Forum on Religion, Art, & Architecture (IFRAA), and the Order of St. Luke (OSL). An ordained minister, his ordination is as a Deacon-in-Full-Connection in the United Methodist Church (UMC). Mr. Harkins teaches Sunday School, sings in choir and small ensembles, preaches when asked, and loves helping with Communion. He is also an avid bicyclist, riding 2000-3000 miles a year. His wife Eileen and their children Eleanor, & Gregory ride along sometimes.
